Who Is She?

Taylor Musgrove is a creative focused on design and illustration, though she dabbles in photography from time to time. Cincinnati-born, Cleveland raised, she is now based out of Taylor Mill, Kentucky where she has just graduated with her BFA in Visual Communication Design from Northern Kentucky University.

Her work reflects the themes she’s most interested in as a woman; her food, her fun, and her representation as a queer woman.

What Is She About?

While most of my work as a young designer has been academic in nature, the themes that I communicate through my work are socially charged topics via a digital medium. Social justice affects us all and I find it pertinent as a queer woman to occupy this space, reclaiming it.

Some of my biggest inspirations for my method are strong creators like Noelle Stevenson and Mel Stringer. The audience tends to be people who identify with my message and are empowered by these statements.

When creating I surround myself with work that fuels me and what I’m trying to convey then I shift to making style-based decisions — I couldn’t do my work without this.
